awesome....from a 55 year old GFR freak...you nailed it, again ...

Sounds great! We do this ,Sins a good mans brother, Aimless lady and Nothing is the same. We do other trio groups too but GFR is by far my favorite. I play Bass and I'm a Mel Schacher fan. Anyway yall did good and keep rockin!! : )

great work....boys....

i saw what you guys did with "Inside Looking Out", and i agree your playing already improved in that video... what i'm more impressed with is the amount of heart shown playing.
i'll tell you what would really impress the GFR fans is if their cover bands improvised complex and intriguing bridges inside some of their songs... there is no more Mark, Don and Mel together as we know them, and the cover bands carry on GFR as if they were.
that's why i take this stuff so seriously

Not bad dudes I'm impressed. Keep practicing the song and you shoud get the spirit of GFR.

let me put it this way, it has some of the og technical craft that sounds like GFR (great!), but lacks the original spirit of the band and song.
the true spirit of Grand Funk, The People's Band, is about getting out from under oppression and violently lashing back in song and musical craft... or maybe being heavily weighed down by The Blues.
Rock and Roll seemed to be , for these guys, a musical "patriot", a "medic", "a preacher" and a "party animal" compounded into one vehicle.
dig?

constructive? well, it sounds a little like the original (1), it's hard to get down that special connect between the bass and the drums (like Mel and Don did), and you did, and that sounds really good (2+), your drummer kept time and his fills made sense (3), and lead guitar sounds great (4).
what didn't work? well, GF playing "Are You Ready?" is a fiery showstopper and you guys played the song like a warm-up... (-1)
3.5/5

i just wanna ask where country are you from guys?
don't get me wrong, i think it's great what you did here, but Mark, Mel and Don are heroes of mine and what they did mean something important to me.
i plan to cover their songs soon, too, someday.

thanks :), it actually makes me really happy that you take this so serious...and I really understand you. This was a long time ago, and unfortunately we don't play together anymore, but we're planning to come back together. I garantee you that you will be pleased with the new stuff, we've gotten all much better.
