Hello everyone! I know haven't been posting much.  Don't worry. I have not forgotten you! I have one script I started in June. I'll finish it as soon as I can. I have a special video planned for early October.
A lot has been keeping me away from YouTube. I took 8 units of summer school and the Fall semester is starting very soon. I filmed my sister's wedding and I need to edit the footage and give them the final version. Does anyone know how to make Sony Vegas 9.0 Pro fade to grey scale? Anyway, after seeing me film my sister's wedding, I was asked to do the same for my second-cousin as well as my roommate. In other news, I've completed A+ certification... and I am desperately searching for a new job. I also will be studying to acquire Net+ certification to help with that.

Split the video segment at the point where you want to start the transition from color to b/w. Then add the video effect but before you close the dialog box, click on the animate button. Set the "Blend amount" to zero at the starting point. Then add a key frame at the point where you want the transition to end. Then set the "Blend amount" to the maximum. Voila! That's it! It is done!

I'm not sure about Vegas Pro, but I had a look in Movie Studio and in the VFX the is 'Black and White' with 100% B&W. Pull that over the clip you want to use it on. Do that and a VFX window pops up where you can manipulate it. At the bottom of that is a timeline. the first keyframe set to blend amount 0. set another one where you want the fade to be complete B&W (set to 1)

that should do it... if Pro has that VFX.
