For my family's traditional Christmas Eve dinner, I decided to eat a ghost pepper for some entertainment. Well my sister's boyfriend decided he would join in on the fun, so I cut one in half and we both had one half of a pepper.
I would never do this again. I have a whole container of ghost peppers that I'm probably going to use for cooking, but I'll never eat one by itself ever again. It feels like a thousand red hot needles being pushed into your tongue while the rest of your mouth is being burnt by a match. It's horrible.
I have to admit though, the experience was like no other, and I thought it was quite fun. The taste of the pepper was quite good as well (even though it only lasts for about 10 seconds before the heat kicks in).
For more information on the ghost pepper, here's a Wikipedia page:

Merry Christmas, and happy holidays everyone!
