  • I saw no reference to an oil filter. Can you explain?

  • The Honda Rebel 250 does not have an oil filter. It has an oil screen. The screen will need cleaned roughly every 12-15k miles.

  • Thanks. I'll be changing my oil for the first time soon. How often should you change it? I just passed 1,000 miles.

  • It is of popular opinion that you should do your first oil change now at 1,000 mi. New engines tend to have metal filings/shavings circulating around. So you should do it now. Then every 3,000mi thereafter.

  • Where the hell is the filter? Actually its inside the case. Its messy chaging it but compare to the hassles youll have to encounter over the coming years if you fix your own bike.. its nothing.

  • The rebel 250 does not have a filter. It has an oil screen, you can get it clean with just a toothbrush but you only have to do it every 12-15k miles.

  • This is an excellent video to show us how to change the oil. I am a 48 year old woman and am so happy I saw this because now I will be doing it myself!

  • again good lesson BUT next time wear rubber gloves, have mechanic rags and NOT in dirty/dusty/sandy conditions we don't need sand in the oil. cheers : ]

  • Hello:) Good movie. I have a question. I bought a Honda Rebel CMX 250C and I do not know what was there, supplemented by oil. What I pour the oil? What is recommended? Overall, I will add that the bike will ride across Poland .. advise anyone? Thanks in advance. Yours:)

  • Thanks for the help. Great video : )

  • thanks first time here

  • Great video. I'll be getting myself a Honda Rebel very soon. A 1999 fixer-upper, so i'll have to learn along the way how to fix and maintain bikes. Thanks for the video, but a little word of advice. Motor oil bottles are shaped that way for a reason. The spout should be at the top when pouring, which allows for a smoother flow and less spillage. Keep the great vids coming!

  • I'm interested in buying a honda rebel and I was wondering if you could do a quick review?

  • i was clueless, gana do it myself now, thank your for teh vid

  • Thanks man! I just bought a 2007, and it's time for my first oil change. This is a sweet beginners reference.

  • Thank you for taking the time to show us how it's done, great video. I am a woman, and I rather do it myself if I can, unfortunately info isn't always available. This is going to make my life a little easier from time to time. Very cool man, much thanks. My only advise is to speak a little louder, @ times it's hard to understand what you say because you speak soft. Where is the fuel screen your referring to that needs to be cleaned every 12-15k and can be done with a toothbrush? Thanks Nicole

  • thanks for both of the videos man you've helped me alot b-cuz i allways wondered were the f%%k is the filter but now i know there is a screen but thanks again :)
