Hit layup, free throw, three pointer, and halfcourt shot all in 24 seconds at halftime of a razorback game. Controversy arose as video evidence showed he had stepped over the halfcourt line by six inches. It was waved off, but five minutes later Frank Broyles (Athletic Director) and John White (Chancellor) stepped in and gave the young man $10,000, no thanks to Fujifilm or SBC-the sponsors of the event.

  • So... geniuses... at what point of stepping over the line should it not count? One foot? A yard? Hell, let him take the half-court shot at the three-point line.

The point is: you have to draw a line somewhere, and stick to it. This applies to more than simple halftime contests, too.

  • oops didnt read the infor correctly aha

  • good shots....but foot was beyond the half court

  • This is quite awesome. ^_^

  • Shanklin should have been tarred and feathered and dragged down Dixon.

  • that ref was a douche. Very impressive shooting by that kid for sure

  • I was sitting 3 seats down from this guy!!! When its showing him when they announce he will get the money, you can see my brother who I was sitting by. :)

  • luckily he was a good sport and in the end got his money. i would have punched that fat guy and started a riot. but then i probably wouldnt get the money

  • that guy was such an asshole saying he it didn't count

  • What kind of a tool ruins a moment like that by trying to claim it wasn't a half-court shot because one foot was over the line?

Shanklin should be a carnie at the fair.
