@PHLYEpaintball im looking at the 2011 empire elbow and forearm pads with the build in gloves. im six one/two around 140 punds with a slender frame, what would be a good size? large?
-
im really into both paintball, and airsoft, but im more into airsoft, and recently got back into it. would paintball pads work as effectively withh airsoft, because generally paintball parts, and objects are larger, and i didnt want to fumble around with pads with the small details of airsoft
-
can you use hockey knee/shin pads?
-
I was going for the empire chest protector until, keep it for your little sister or your girlfriend xP anyways.
would volleyball knee pads be good?

Yeah, they would probably work. Just make sure you can kneel and crouch in them for several minutes without it getting uncomfortable. When you are crouched behind a bunker, you wanna worry about the game and not uncomfortable knee pads.

how do you guys size up the pads like the elbow pads and knee pads?
KDOG1352 2 years ago
Its a bit of a guessing game. It depends on the brand and how big you are. What pads are you looking at? Whats your size/weight?

im looking at the dye pads, im about 5'6" and 136lbs. any suggestions?

At your size it shouldnt be too hard to get stuff to fit. Medium might be loose on you. See if you can find a friend or someone at the field who has dye pads that size, and ask if they will let you try them on. That is the best way to tell. Mike and I have always had a harder time finding the right size pads. We are both bigger guys. Im 6'2", 200lbs, and pretty much solid muscle. That makes it more difficult to get things to fit. Try to stay small, so that everything will fit you =)
