It's just too easy to destroy every word that comes out of closet case browns mouth

AWESOME! Brian Brown is a bigot and he should be called on for it. Great points were made by Thom Hartmann and if Brian Brown really wants to go by a bibical definition of marriage he better start campaining for polygamy and the oppression of women because those are all things that are found in there. The real question is: WHY is it necessary to ban LGBT people from marrying, in a SECULAR government? There is none. The church can define marriage as it wants. But our laws are secular.

@jeffmonc2 I hope you've never eaten shellfish or worn clothes of mixed fabric. Because Leviticus says those are abominations too :)

@jeffmonc2 God's stance doesn't matter in this country... we're not Iran. But even if it did, religious people pick and choose which parts of leviticus they want to obey. (Most Christians do not keep Kosher, for example.)

@dyadtwo Clinton is just as much of a hypocrite, as he obviously excluded blowjobs under the desk.
Obama's just being a goddamned politician, especially now that his position on gay marriage is "evolving". I honestly had more respect for him when he said he was against it, and I'm a gay liberal!!

@jeffmonc2 Is that the same book of the Bible that says I can sell my daughter into slavery and stone my wife to death if she's not a virgin on our wedding night??
And the book that says that I can't eat pork or shellfish, wear mixed fabrics, or plant different seeds next to each other??
...Would you like me to continue? The same book that says I can't work on Sundays?

The word "marriage" came from the French word "marier" which means to
join and a suffix "-age" which means a state of being or condition.
When combined, "marriage" means any joining with permanence---such as
marrying/joining together two people or two boards of wood; two males, two females, male/female, or two bottles of mustard.
"change the definition of marriage?" Not at all. Lakota chief Crazy Horse had one or two male spouse(s) and many other Native American nations also had what same-sex marriages. Ethnographers have documented this. Some examples: Omahas, Zapotecs, Mohaves, Crow, Hidatsa, Ojibwa, Winnebago, Yuma and Timucua. Other cultures too: In 17th century Fukian Province China, same-sex marriages between gay men seem to have been common. And in West Africa, "woman marriage[s]" a practice by many tribes.
