Yes, that is the Skull of Gul'dan... and the Dragon shadow is actually Deathwing crossing the portal before it is shut down.

@pickering86 It was actually Ner'Zhul who shattered Dreanor. The cenematic you just saw was only the destruction of the great portal, and the only reason the Alliance did that was to keep reinforcements from coming to Azeroth.
