(Ruth Pang) Missing woman, Ruth Pang, was found by her family who came in from Hawaii to help with the search.
(Micheal Jackson) A jury found Michael Jackson's doctor guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the 2009 death of the King of Pop. Dr. Conrad Murray appeared stone-faced as the verdict was read today in a Los Angeles courtroom. The 58-year-old doctor, who is to be sentenced November 29, is facing up to four years in prison. He could also lose his medical license. The decision was reached after less than nine hours of deliberation. The prosecution asked for Murray to be remanded into custody immediately.
(AX Hwy 160 Dandelion) One man was transported locally as a result of a vehicle versus motorcycle accident on Highway 160 and Dandelion on Saturday afternoon.
(Ax Nugget) Emergency crews responded to an accident at the Pahrump Nugget in which a woman apparently struck a sign in a parking space which in turn struck the wall of the casino.
(Ax Mesquite) Icy roadways apparently caused a rollover accident on Mesquite and Bannavich this morning.
(NCSO arrest) Two people have been taken into custody following a routine traffic stop.
(Andy Rooney) Just weeks after his final farewell on 60 minutes. Andy Rooney died Friday night from apparent complications from an undisclosed minor surgery he had on October 25th. Andy Rooney was 92 years old the same age that Walter Cronkite was when he died in 2009. After his 70 year career as a writer, he stated in his farewell on the show that aired October 2nd that he is not retiring, he added that writers never retire.
He was on 60 minutes for 33 years. Rooney, has been a widower since 2004, He is survived by his four children. No funeral arraignments have been announced.
(Veteran's Sign) A dedication ceremony was held on Saturday morning for the new veterans highway signs on Highway 160.
(Emergency reader no photo) At 9 am on Wednesday November 9th, there will be a National activation of the Emergency Alert System. There should be a short address by the President. A National activation has never been performed since the System's creation.
(Car Studio) Friday is November 11th. It is 11-11-11. Next year will be the last time in this century. That there will be a date like 11-11-11 next year will be 12-12-12. Then you need to wait until the year 3000 for these kind of number to come up again. Friday is also veteran's day. Julie Hargis from Car Studio wants to honor those who served our country and continue to serve our town.
(Burger King reader with photo) A 60 foot crown was floated on a barge down the Hudson river today and presented to the stature of liberty to honor her 125th birthday. Also to celebrate burger kings new makeover of their crown. They also donated $125,000.00 to the Statue of liberty restoration fund. The crown measures 60 foot in circumference and is 15 feet high by 19 feet wide, Burger king is looking to set the Guinness World Record.
