Eddie Jefferson was truely a master of the vocal-eeze. I though Luba Rashik was a superb protage. Sadly, they both died well before their time and left a void yet to be filled.

He had originally been a tap dancer, kevinherbert. Maybe that explains something about Eddie's great rhythm. Of course, he had an extraordinary ear and the ability to improvise at the drop of a hat as well.
