T. Don Hutto is a former prison that is privately run for profit by the Corrections Corporation of America. This prison is now used as a "Family Detention Center" and houses upwards of 400 individuals who are primarily political asylum seekers in the U.S.. Many of these individuals are children from 5 months of age up.

This is how you handle the situation right here, maybe people will think twice about coming here illegally knowing that they can and will be deported.

I do think that immagrants should stop coming here, it's kinda pissing me off..What I don't get is why we can't technically do sh*t about it, or why we can't do something to help them so they don't cross over our border anymore. Obviously they won't find a better life, it seems they had just assumed it would be better because of the financial oppritunities, but if they did something so they would be a legal citizen, then maybe things might be diffirent.

hi thuinderchips-- the fact is that all of the people housed in T Don Hutto are in the legal process of becoming a citizen. they are usually rounded up at their homes where they told the US government they would be while they await their amnesty hearings.
This is purely a money making scam for the private corporations that run the prisons.

Liberals who support illegal immigrants are actually (unknowingly) siding with greedy U.S. corporations. Why? Because they (ie. liberals) are protecting corporate America's cheap labor workers.
WHO WINS? Greedy companies AND illegal workers (earning FAR more than in Mexico).
WHO LOSES? The U.S. labor class (U.S. proletariat) via job losses to illegal workers & depressed wages.
Thus 122 years of U.S. labor struggle (carried out since the Haymarket Rebellion of 1886) is being undermined.

liberal???! hahaha!
i support the constitution which allows for people from other nations to immigrate legally. these people are generally in the process of seeking asylum. one of the primary planks of our constitution and american heritage is to open arms to those who are persecuted in their countries for political, religious, or social reasons.
i agree to a great extent with your position on illegal immigration. but in the context of this situation it does not apply.

"Mom...Why can't I get out of here". I hope she told her children about how she is a criminal and when you break laws you might get caught and there will be a price to pay.
I hope she told her children of how they are suffering because of her sins and crimes against America. What a piece of trash.

you ar e ignorant. these are people seeking asylum from the persecution they face in their country of origin. these are people who are waiting for asylum hearings, in the homes they tell ICE they will be at.
asylum is not the same as illegal immigration. it is the BASIS of our country and constitution.
