Some tunes from ADLib Tracker's library. Played on a 100 MHz Pentium with an actual OPL chip. (As shown in the intro, in the bottom of the image)

The songs are from the collection of songs that come with ADLib Tracker.
00:40 Chipmunk
01:39 Comic Bakery
03:47 Super Mario Land Theme (Probably my favourite Mario theme)

  • is it me or that first song play too fast then what is supposed to?

  • @Acadianiste No?

  • I have this program but it seems a little glitchy on my computer.

    1) the music speeds up and slows down

    2) sometimes it skips a note or plays it wrong

    3) sometimes it doesn't sound the same when I play the same thing twice in a row, even without modifying it

    4) whatever I do to instrument 1, it does the same to instruments 2

Any clue why it's doing these types of things?

  • Sounds like bugs in the DOSBox. I have to words of advice for you. 1) Use ADT2PLAY for playback. (If in DOSBox) 2) Set opl_latency=1 in the [TROUBLESHOOTiNG] section of the ini file. Hope that helps.

  • @Acadianiste ... These aren't midis, they're Adlib Tracker modules.

  • can you send me these midis? they are awesome!

  • Command line :)

  • First song is crazy good

  • Get AdLib Visual Composer. I use it ALL the time for my compositions.

  • The Super Mario Land Theme played on an FM synth soundchip almost sounds has a bizarro-world quality to it, in the same way that the music from Sonic The Hedgehog would sound bizarre played on a Nintendo soundchip.
