I've never understood the point of applying mascara when you're applying lashes. Can someone please explain?

@ButtaScotch07 It's quite simple, it adds volume to your natural lashes which helps to fill the sparse areas at the base of the lash line. It also helps YOUR lashes to blend with the FAKE lashes as the consistency of most mascaras acts as a bonding agent for the hairs making the transition [from real to fake] seamless. It's not a tragedy if you skip this step though.
