The funny thing is, is that I like the IRL. Lets face it, it has been the premire open wheel series in America for quite some time so I am pulling for it to grow. Apparently they are seriously considering going to turbo in 2011 wich would be great. Also I understand they are luring more engine manufactures to add some variety. Now if they add a few more road circuits we will be back to the good old days....almost. How you can't race at Road America is beyond me.
i was there too. in fact,i think indyfan22k was there. cuz i got picked on by the fans all day cuz i was wearing my forsythe crew shirt. i came out there supporting the series but they're all dicks. watch SMASHCAR people. and leave the real race fans alone. it's good they got together but the wrong formula. how many people watch the " killer bees" over the dp01?
What sour grapes cunt. I am happy the series merged. I don't think the cars look better but that isn't a big deal. The tech was better in champ car, hell the IRL just put the paddle shifters in this year. And the cars don't sound as good. It is the lack of the turbo charger, it gives it a different pitch and it doesn't have the whistle to it. I garuntee you that if you had someone listen to both cars go by they would tell you the Champ Car sounds better.
better tech, better looking cars, and better tracks. Come on, the IRL is cool but you are delusional.
I wish they would have taken the Champ Cars in the merger. I went to the IRL race in Milwaukee the other week and the cars don't sound very good, they actually sound like swarming bees.
Hopefully they will add Road America, this track needs premier open wheel series on it.
Road America is the best in North America!

Nice video, really like the standing start and then the cars passing by full throttle.
Well done.
