    It's sad but true!

They learned their craft in the 1930's if I'm not mistaken

I know they went overseas in WWII to entertain the troops. They were in a different world where you did not or not permitted to "cuss" for laughs.

"Thinking" was always ."fashionable" it seems back then.NOW it's "too much work" to make your audience "think" to get the joke..just cut to the chase..

Maybe I'm quite mistaken..just how I compare then to today. Wayne & Shuster would have a hard time today

  • Shuster look like Forrest Tucker and Robert Loggia!

  • Great ending theme song! These guys were to Canada like Johnny Carson was to the USA!

  • Nice to see the old CBC bumper at the end, too.

  • Bernard Cowan was also on Front Page Challenge and I'm pretty sure did voiceovers for Rocket Robin Hood and Spiderman.

We will not see the likes of Wayne and Shuster again.

  • @CelesteK Oh and I forgot the great Bernard Cowan, 1922-1990, who did the narration for the show. :)

  • Johnny Wayne 1918-1990 and his good buddy Frank Shuster 1916-2003. God I loved Wanye and Shuster. :)
