Self Proclaimed "scholar" Robert Morey's Shoddy Debate With Dr. Khalid Al-Mansour

Phoney "Islamic scholar" Bob Morey is exposed by Muslim debater Dr Khalid al-Mansour. Morey, embarrassed by this debate, told his staff to "junk" it & not market or talk about it to the public. Morey was repeatedly "caught" by al-Mansour as a few excerpts from the debate will show here. The moderator in this debate was Mike Stephens who produced both of Morey's radio shows, "Truthseekers" & "Bob Morey Live." Morey would later take $70,000 of Stephens' family savings & fire him overnight for pointing out unethical practices in Morey's ministry. Hank Hanegraaff, director of the Christian Research Institute & host of the "Bible Answer Man" radio show whose founder was Dr Walter Martin who was a frequent guest on the John Ankerberg Show says "Dr" Robert A. Morey of Faith Defenders, Biblical Thought, Faith Community Church (FCC), California Biblical University and Seminary (CBUS), Bob Morey Live, and Doxological Apologetics is dishonest & unscholarly. Hanegraaff's comments come in reference to a report Morey wrote in his national "Researcher" newsletter attacking Gregory A. Boyd, author of the book, "Oneness Pentecostals and the Trinity." Boyd's book was endorsed by Hanegraaff & the CRI staff. In a letter by Dr. Boyd he states, "..."Truth-Seeker Bob [Morey] went after me with a vengence. He was trying to prove Hank Hanegraaff was incompetent in endorsing my book by proving that I was a heretic on the basis of my former book "Trinity and Process". He sent letters around the country telling Christian distributors to stop selling my books because I was (among other things) a process theologian, that I denied the Incarnation, I denied the Trinity!!!, and I was, in short, a closet liberal. His tactics half worked as my book sales dropped significantly. I still get hassaling mail from people about this. Well, to make a long story short, I have never in my life encountered, or even imagined, such blatant malice, deceit, and vile ungodliness -- let alone in someone who taunts himself as a Christian leader. At first I thought this was just an extraordinarily dull person (I had never heard of him before) who couldn't read, who had an extraordinary meglomaniac streak which made him want to be a "scholar." Hence he looked silly. But, as the case wore on, I began to see that the situation was far worse. He 'had' to understand my work enough to know 'how' to distort it. And, I began to see, he had to be lying intentionally to be so consistent and manipulative with them. This man, I finally came to see, WAS EVIL. He's a megalomaniac with a vengence, and so far as I can see, not an ounce of honesty or integrity to curb it with. This man is, in my estimation, very bad for Christianity, and very dangerous." @hasanimam35 Thanks for the question. As it turned out we never got around to posting the full length version of this debate on the internet, either on YAHOO VIDEO or anywhere else. Since we are Christian in background we felt we would be doing a dis-service to the Christian cause by posting Morey's poorly prepared debate. A few weeks ago YAHOO VIDEO notified video producers that they were changing their formatting & it sounded like after March 14, 2011 they would not post videos in the future.

Shall I tell you that I was the producer of that debate & shall I tell you that Morey himself told his staff that he did not want this debate going out to the public because he thought he did a lousy job? If you want to see a better way to deal with Islam from a Christian point of view go to CANSWERSTV on Youtube & then reference from the Islam videos there to the over 40 hours of Christian videos refuting Islam on Yahoo Video (search Larry Wessels).

Notice that Morey doesn't accept comments on his own videos that don't agree with him? Look at the first comment on his "Does God Love Anyone?" page; the guy says that Indians had it right with the Great Spirit! Try posting something about God's love on there. In other words, "disgusted yet? Try joining the Apostasy!" This guy is a grievous wolf, deliberately turning people away from the knowledge of God who loves everybody and to get them to hate him. He is an agent provocateur against God.
