Rotary plow on Gravely 8163-T

This is a better version of the same video I uploaded on my other account (GunmetalXJ).

Back in November of 2008, we won a rotary plow for our Gravely 8163 on eBay and decided to give it a quick test run in the yard. As you can see, the plow worked great!

At this time, the tractor was still in a constant state of repair (which is why the hood is missing). In June of 2009, we replaced the Onan engine with a Honda GX670, and it's now working like a dream! We've been using it to mow the homestead and can't wait to use the snowblower, push blade, and rotary plow now that the tractor is working well.

While some might debate the quality of the Onan engine that was usually in this model, I loved it. I had many years working on it, both cutting grass and blowing some serious snow. Fanatastic tractor....the 8163T.

I would have to agree though. Your Gravely does indeed deserve to have it's hood on and will look 20 times better, also. She looks naked without her hood.

@CanadaSmilesAtYou As I mentioned in the video description, the hood was off because we were repairing it. This video was taken during a test run; at that time, the engine still wasn't working very well.

Put the hood on! Show some respect for your Gravely and film her when she is dressed for the occasion.

@g9csr The reason for having the hood removed was clearly stated in the video description. I realize this is a site for watching videos, but literacy goes a long way toward understanding what you're watching. :)
