@DerailAmnestydotcom , yes, fake marriage works. As for Ellis Island, only really crippled people couldn't get citizenship. But cripples didn't even try...

@Tihbialdunav A. All visas are not denied to Mexicans. That is patently absurd. In fact, more Mexicans are given legal residency in the U.S. ea. year than foreign nationals from any other country ... more than from China and more than from India (countries w/ much larger populations). B. Citizenship was not "for anyone who wanted it." Try reading about Ellis Island and its nickname "The Island of Tears." You simply don't know what you're talking about.

@DerailAmnestydotcom If you are Mexican , in 2010, you cannot come legally-all visas are denied. A visa costs no more than $100, but never provided, illegal crossing is $3000. If people could come on a visa, who would risk their life and walk thru the hot desert for days with no certain success? Think, think, think before talking. Noone wants to be illegal. Your ancestors were simply lucky the laws were different so all they had to do was show up : citizenship was for anyone who wanted it.

Why don't you organize in Mexico and march in Mexico? THAT is where this should be taking place. Stop the hate of America and the American people! Respect this country and the laws of this country.

Agreed, the only solution that will stop illegal immigration and preserve the U.S. is to deport people unlawfully here and permanently bar them from reentering. Amnesties don't work. We learned that in 1986.

Some people are so ignorant. Have AMERICANS forgotten that they are immigrants as well. Deporting 12 million undocumented people is not only cruel and selfish, but it would cost 230 billion dollars. Instead, a comprehensive immigration reform would reunite innocent families, allow people to contribute to this society, and boost the economy dramatically. Do some research before you deicide what's best for our country.
