Wow...
I can't believe it. As we are approaching the summer of 2012, August will mark the beginning of the six-year journey I have had with my horse Marco. It's hard to believe that the horse that I wanted nothing to do with and was terrified of turned out to be one of the greatest things in my life. And without a doubt the greatest thing I have been able to call my very own these last two years.
Marco, you have been my everything. My rock, my savior, my best friend. Only you could put up with mistakes, my anger, my frustration, my retardation, and foolishness and still come up to me everyday with ears perked forward. We had our rough days and our days of pure perfection and in all that time I was always learning something. Whether it was something about riding or something about myself. You have taught me more about who I was as a person then anyone ever will and I will always be eternally grateful. I remember the day you came to Don-E-Brook as a young goofy four-year-old from a polo farm. I watched you rear, throw, and buck people off only to be thrown back into rangers time and time again. Then the day came when I was literally forced to get on you with tears streaming down my face in fear and heartbreak of wanting my fat push button quarter horse back. Time and time again I was forced to ride you in none other then barrel racing. I remember having to warm you up for an hour before just to be able to control you during the pattern. You were jumpy, scared, excited and hot as hell. But time after time you got better, we got faster, and we began to trust each other. After years of training you completely on my own on the pattern, to English flat, and eventually jumpers we knew each other, trusted each other, and loved each other more then anyone would have expected. Through all the years I leased you and then the lucky day in 2010 when I was able to call you my very own, we have always been one. Through the ribbons we won to the barrels and jumps we knocked down you were always giving your all for no one other then me. To make no one else happy but me. And when the sad day came when I had to leave for college, when most kids say good bye to their beloved friend, I still call you my very own even being close to 2000 miles apart. We will always be together and I will always love you. Thank you for everything Marco, always and forever,

Video wise:
I have obviously been in a little bit of an editor's block but I got some inspiration from a couple fellow YouTubers. Song choice was inspired by a video by PessoaGirl4. She did a great job with it and I fell in love with video and the way the song was performed and went hmmmm I have an idea how to make a video to this, but how?! I had been looking back to a lot of old footage of Marco and I and then Englishbarrelracer posted a video about her and the horse she is leasing Kona being together for one year and then I thought wow with leasing and owning, Marco and I have been together six years. Just like that the idea hit me and this video was born. This video shows literally everything, from one of the very first clips I shot in 2007 to the last time I rode him this thanksgiving. It shows our journey from mistakes, to highlights, to the love we share. There may be some footage you have never seen, or some you haven't seen in a while. There may be some I over use and some I don't use enough; in short it also shares my journey as SSoftballProduction.

wow this is beautiful, marco is one amazing horse your one awesome rider :) marco looks so different than you said in your description he really is a changed horse, he obviously loves you as you love him, hes a true credit to you and a fine thoroughbred, i just adore him, your ride him beautifully, he has so much spirit and energy in his presence, i only hope when i finally get a horse we will have an awesome bond like you and marco truly remarkable :)
