Guitar World's Shred The Web II - entry

guitar world magazine is having a little contest and so i decided to participate in it. the backing track is taken from a cd that came with a zoom pedalboard i got when i was little. this is actually a song by kiko loureiro (angra) called dream-circle, but with no lead guitar. this solo was written by me though. it was a fucking pain in the ass to come up with these licks!!!! i dont know, the chord progs are like really weird, there like off-beat. shit i had a really hard time comin up with this solo, the worst part is that i had only about a week to do it before the contest ended. and so i litteraly recorded it in the last minute. thats why i made a bunch of mistakes and my guitar is slightly out of tune.

yes haha. i was sort of thinking kirk hammett when i wrote this. it was the first solo i ever wrote and i didnt really know what to play over a 3 min song so i ended up steling some of his licks. i tried to be as original as i could though
