A 2 minute mini-documentary of behind the scenes training of international actor, Richard William Lord for his role in Roy Alfred's feature film, 'Glory Days'. With over-training injuries mounting from 2 1/2 months of intensive '2 a day' workouts and strict dieting, the desire and hunger can be seen in the sunken eyes, hollow cheeks and ripped ab's of this totally focused actor. With his scheduled shooting dates changed 4 different times, the carb cycling and carb depletion diet was taking it's toll. Richard came in at 5.5% body fat on the day his role was shot, 2 days after this documentary was filmed.

  • hey rich what do you do for your back/lats? i do alot of pull ups but i was wondering if i should add weights to my back workout to help it get bigger?

  • @KingBowe88

Hi King..!! Your back is the 2nd largest muscle group in the body---you gotta go "heavy" to build your back.. Pull up's are great but don't "stress" you enough---unless you add weight (belt with plates, around the waist).. Dead lifts are #1.. Period.. Go freaking heavy, it's your #1 stongest lift.. Proper form so you don't blow your back out.. Bent over rows with barbell.. Behind neck pull downs and seated cable rows.. The secret---- Go Heavy..!!

  • Hi Alastair 78,

Weight: 214.6 lbs.. Height: 6"4' at 5.5% bodyfat.. As can be seen in the video, I came in a touch "flat" due to the "yo-yo" dieting, carb up then depleteing as my scheduled shooting date for the film neared.. 4 times it was cancelled and delayed, pushed back, literally just hours before shooting my role.. Really tough and very frustrating for me, both the body and head taking a beating.. Thanks for your inquiery.. All the best..

    Richard..
