Role Model

So I've gotten told by a lot of people that they look up to me, that I'm a role model, a good influence,etc. But then someone told me that I used to be their role model but I blame epilepsy for everything wrong in my life,am egotistical, complain too much, etc. So this was my little rant about it. I don't believe I am any of those things and try hard not to be. Yet people will comment me or contact me first asking my opinion on everything and then attacking it which I do not appreciate at all. But I decided to stay because of all the amazing people I've talked to and gotten to know thanks to youtube and my videos.

Piss on those who Hate on you. They are just shalow ppl who have nothing better to do. They get off on hurting your feelings. You are a role model in my eyes. @jennx3jenn Do you have facebook and what is your twitter account? my daughter is 17 and I think she would love to be able to talk to someone else with epilepsy. I think your videos are great, she is one of those kids that doesn't like to discuss her epilepsy, I think she thinks if she doesn't talk it will go away. She has been getting better lately at talking about it & learning more. So far all normal eegs but her tonic clonics happen at night & her complex partials while awake. Thank you :)

YouTube, well, you do yours on camera, I would never be brave enough to say anything like that to camera, so you are undoubtedly the braver, for sure.

Remember, a butterfly's wing beat is like the tiniest breath, but multiplied by a trillion and you have a furious storm.

Remember, everything you do and everyone else does effects someone somewhere somehow. Just think about that for a while. If you break your leg how many people will be effected? Potentially thousands.

I have found that most if not all epileptics are extremely sensitive to criticism from anywhere but mostly from others you do not know. I am and can mull over the way something was said to me or to another for months or years, to the point where others have no idea I am thinking like this, essentially worrying about what someone said 3 years ago or something? And for an instant I feel foolish, but I know I am not really a fool.

or correspond with you. As you say you did not force anyone to watch your vids. There's a million other videos for them to choose from. No need to even mention it to those who moan. They no whom they are.

Epilepsy virtually automatically gives depression, and living with either can be extremely nasty.

From one old soul to another, with epilepsy and anything else, as well as having a Great sense of humour. Those that decry you and your undoubted intellect, will feel silly later in life.

Going through so much so young, you, like me tend to be old beyond our years? you know?

You know if you help one single person, you have to feel proud for being on YouTube. Keep going. Epileptics probably understand you enough not to call you name and to criticise you, I would not mind betting it is others that truly do not understand are those that do not have any illness.

There will always be the ones who 'throw stones'. Just ignore them. Just reply to people whom ask for your help
