  • I'm really looking forward to it, though there's still some uncertainty regarding the earthquake. But the initial word is that everything is still on. We're going to Sacred Valley, Augus Calientes, MP & Cuzco, but not Lake Titicaca. Thanks for commenting! =)

  • Kip...I was in Peru July 1-13. I flew Delta, nonstop from ATL to Lima. The flight was 1 1/2 hours late leaving. The July 13th flight was a 12:30 A.M. fl. It was also 1 1/2 hours late. I sent Delta an email complaining about this & they sent me a $200 voucher for a future flight!

U will LOVE Peru. Lima & Cusco beautiful (drink the coca tea often). Macchu Pichu magical. We were there on 7/7/07. Very exciting. R u going to Puno & Lake Titicaca? Spending the night on Amantani Island?

    Enjoy!

  • I once had to stay in an airport for (first half an hour, then two hours and finally) five hours because of an unexplained delay. Annoying. But probably unavoidable, I assume planes do break down now and then and better they find and fix it on the ground and make me wait then up in the air.

Your situation, on the other hand, was an inconvenience of the worst kind. Which is to say that it was easily avoidable. I wonder if this was a common thing for LAN?
