"yes. I did. Can we go now?" he smiled wide and grabbed my hand. I looked at our hands when they connected.

"we have to cross the street, don't we?"

"yeah," the smile on my face the smile I missed when I was with Joseph.

Episode 25:

Savannah's POV: "ready?" he said as he was ready to charge through the other side of the 4 lane street.
"um...not really!" I smiled, innocently and he just julked my hand and ran as he yelled, "just come on!" I ran with him, right behind him. It left like everyone was watching us, but I didn't care. He made crossing the street fun.
When we finally got to the other side, we were both out of breathe for running so fast. After getting enough air to talk, I started laughing and pulled him into the doors that had a big yellow "M" on it. We walked in and there was a couple families, and about 5 people in line. Great...We got in line and stood there. The person in the front had a family of 5 and didn't know what to order. I bet Joseph was thinking the same thing. Annoyed. I've been waiting a minute in line and feel like moving everyone aside.
Our turn. Next. Finally. "Welcome to McDonald's, how may I help you?" wow. I thought they'd say something like, 'Hi! Welcome to McDonald's!! would you like to try a McBirthdayCake?'
"id like 2 chicken sandwiches, 2 chicken nuggets, 1 big Mac, 1 large fry and a large coke," Dayum. After the cashier calculated the prices, she came up with one bug number.
"ok...and your total is, $19.38," the women gave the cashier the money and she took it. Afterward, she gave her money back and her receipt with a number on it.
"next," she said as the family left. "Welcome to McDonald's, how may I help you?"

"I'd like 2 vanilla ice creams please,"

"would you like any of them dipped?"

"no thanks,"

"alright that would be, $1.50," coolio. That's an amazing price lady :D. I reached into my pocket, when Joseph stopped me and paid himself. It was a kind of awkward moment because all I wanted to say was, 'aw Joseph! You didn't have to do that! I could've done it but you're the bestest friend a girl could ever have!!' and give him a big hug. But in reality that would sadly be weird.
She gave us our ice creams and we walked out of the place together. "thanks, Joseph," he smiled, and shook his head. "What?" I said.
"you don't have to thank me, Savannah. It was just a dollar and fifty cents. It's nothing." I smiled and I thought, what the hell. I gave a hug, and he hugged me back. By now, we finished our ice creams, and walking back to my home. It's already getting dark and to be honest, I'm tired of walking. So I looked at him and smiled.
"hey Joseph." he looked at me weird, but then smiled. "do you want to give me a piggy-back-ride?" he shrugged and bent over.
"fine, get on," I smiled wide and jumped on his back. He got up and starded walking again. I laid my chin on his shoulder and looked at his face. He turned toward me and said, "what are you looking at?"
"you, silly!" he grinned.

"a good looking sight, is it?" I giggled.

"yeah, kind of like that." he smiled. Like he got a thought in his head.
He walked the rest of the way. "ok we're here."
"yup." I said still on his back.

"do you want to get off?"

"not really," I said, holding on tighter.

"fine. Then I'm going to have to take you home with me, because I'm tired," I sighed and leaped off. "ok fine." we were both standing in front of my house door. He's in front of me, but I'm quiet, trying to find the words to day. I looked down trying to think. But he lifted my chin, and without hesitation, he slowly leaned in. All I did was close my eyes and wait for our lips to meet. When they did, everything just went blank. All I could think about was his soft lips against mine. When he pulled away, I smiled and looked down.
"good night." I said as I opened the door and walked in the house leaving him outside. I quickly ran to the window and watched him smile wide and walk away. That right there, was my dream in 6th grade.
