A recording of the last few minutes of analog (NTSC) video from Georgia Public Broadcasting. While other broadcasters are waiting until June 2009 to drop their analog signals, GPB decided to do it on the former Feb 17, 2009 deadline. This is about four minutes of video leading up to the midnight. This was recorded off the 5 million watt WNGH-TV signal on Channel 18 from Fort Mountain in North Georgia, received in a room on a high floor in the Westin Peachtree Hotel in downtown Atlanta, 70 miles away. The new 476 thousand watt digital signal also came in fine.

  • @VRKJArtist2 So if I come to your house and try to steal your property, I guess you're evil if you try to stop me too, huh?

  • @seanmc1114 This song isn't Georgia's property. You have no rights to it whatsoever.

  • Here's an idea, people. Buy the fucking song. Ray Charles was a talented artist. Don't steal his legacy. $0.99 on iTunes. Sick of you whiners crying that people don't want you to steal their hard work.

  • Look folks, get a recording of Ray Charles' Georgia on My Mind and start it when you see the waves and sun coming up over the beautiful Georgia coastline. It's like the Southern version of Pink Floyd and The Wizard of Oz.

  • I loved this old sign off with Ray Charles doing Georgia.

  • this sucks !!!!!

  • I have been looking for this video forever. I used to fall asleep while listening to it on TV when I was a teenager. It was like a lullaby.

As a Georgia taxpayer, I guess I am one of the copyright holders of this video, so I hereby give youtube my permission to broadcast it with the audio.

  • THE SOUNDS OF SILENCE IN THIS VIDEO HAS BEEN MADE POSSIBLE BY AN ANNUAL CONTRIBUTION BY BRONFMAN. f*** you, Bronfman. :(

  • I hate WMG. There ought to be a warning to let me know whenever I buy any of their music.

  • Thanks, WMG!
