Short movie from Sergei M. Eisenstein made in USSR in 1923., as a part of performance shown in Moscow that year. It shows us a new viewing angle at the director of ,,Battleship/Armored Cruiser Potemkin'' (Броненосец Потёмкин).

  • Do you know how to add proper subtitles ? I've translated it, but I would like to do it right. I have in plan to add some bw shorts.

  • Cultural and educational so as organisation of literary artists (1917-32) of proletarian amateur initiative in different areas of art, especially in literature and theatre.

    2. Nihilistic negation of cultural inheritance, separatism of the leaders and ideologists of Proletkult (A.A. Bogdanov, V. F. Pletnyev) made serious damage to artistic culture.

  • You're welcome :). Eisenstein is my favourite Soviet director so i'll always tell people about this great man :).

    By the way, can you translate the Russian at the beginning of the film?

  • I found it. Thanks for the remark!

  • I'm sorry because of my mistake, I should be looking at the Imdb translation prior to translating it by myslelf. There is also a version ,,armored cruiser Potemkin'' and in the dictionaries I could find only this:

    battleship =войенный корабль

    destroyer = миноносец

    cruiser = катер, крейсер

    броненосец = n. ironclad, armor. clad.

    How do you change the description of clip ?

    Yes, the destroyers are much smaller ships.

  • Actually, it's called 'Battleship Potemkin'.
