This is our shih tzu Ferrero, about 4 years old. He has skin allergy which the vet said is treatable with correct diet. His diet now consists of an expensive dog food for sensitive dogs. Recently we found out that his eyes started to blur like that of a glaucoma or cataract in humans. The vet said it's just the result of vitamin B deficiency and infection. He has medications now. But our uncle who is an ophthalmologist said that he probably needs surgery.

Unfortunately, we don't know of any good veterinarians here in Manila. In fact, we've never heard of animal hospitals here. Ferrero's skin "allergy" has improved with the switch in diet, but he's still sick.

  • Yes a switch in diet will help but more important is plenty of exercise and keep it happy by playing with it...a stress free dog is a healthy dog

  • what a lovely tzu. all mine have skin allergies; they are prone to them. i bathe them frequently since we walk alot to cut down on the allergens, give them atarax twice daily so they don't itch, and no corn diet. fish oil is also recommended.

  • cute dog. hope he gets better soon :D

  • poor dog it is so sad that the dog is maybe sick that is why i call it poor dog
