Wonderful stuff. The jangly middle 8 bit is one of the most sublime bits of music ever recorded.

I bought this LP on the strength of hearing Dancing the Night Away featured every Friday night as the introduction to Tony Wilson's early evening spot on Granada TV many years ago.
To this day, it remains as one of my all time favorites.

That is without doubt the truth...It was well regarded in TV circles of the day. A real CLASSIC !

Classic intro - one of the 3 best intros in rock, the other two are Smoke on the Water and Whatever you want

hi there - tab is pretty simples for the Byrdsy jangle bit. Standard 'A' - little finger on 3rd fret of B string, remove, then play B string open and faff with that until you get it. same again but without any fretted 'D' string. then up to a standard 'D'. net chord is a standard D but slid up 2 frets.
main part - hammered on/off E chord. Then A and D. not sure about the desending motif that mirrors the vocal line, but seems just a barre E chord slid down from the 14th fret.. should get u thru!
