Mr. Rochester is not supposed to be a handsome guy...I never thought I would be so happy that a film wasn't being faithful to the novel....

In the book, Jane wants to leave because shes *cold*, but R doesn't let her go and he's showing his possessiveness when he says "Go, then Jane Go!" and he won't let go of her hand. She's trying to pull away and he's basically saying "I'll let you go when I want you too". This scene is not true to the book - he's too seductive here whereas in the book the impression you get is one of R's possessiveness. This is probably the first time in R's life that a woman walked away from him.
