Accelerated video highlights from the first time that CSA Astronaut and International Space Station (ISS) crew member Chris Hadfield operated Canadarm2. In 2001, Hadfield delivered the 17-metre robotic arm to the ISS, and installed it aboard the orbiting platform during the first Canadian spacewalk. On January 10, 2013, Hadfield took control of Canadarm2, commanding it to move from one base to another. The operations were part of a practice run to hone Hadfield's robotics skills for later operations during his 5-month stay on the ISS, including a capture of the Dragon spacecraft in March. In addition, Hadfield's work helps to position Canadarm2 for the next phase of the Robotic Refueling Mission. From January 14 - 23, Dextre and Canadarm2 will work in tandem to refuel a mock satellite on orbit during the most precision-operations ever performed by a space robot. (Credit: NASA/CSA)

*They* don't. Hadfield himself said that what Internet they get up there is slower than dialup, so it would take ages to upload even a short video straight from ISS. Besides, you gotta realize: the astronauts don't do everything; there are lots of people down on earth who can do these kinds of things. Presumably someone at CSA grabs video from an uplink (which is separate from any Internet connection) or recorded from an uplink, does the editing, and then posts the video.
