Ok...but do you have to disconnect the battery? I purchased a replacement for my car and it says to disconnect the battery to replace. I mean is it necessary?

At 2:16, he removes the nut that secures the light housing to the lighter well. I'm looking for that same exact nut. Where can I get one?
