http://HerFitnessBlog.com - I was actually shooting for 100 without stopping because I was watching other ppl do some sort of 100 push up challenge, but it was super tough! I ended up with only 65 (while taking breaks) and they definitely didn't look so pretty toward the end especially with the huffing, puffing, shaking, sweating, form dying, and elbow locking. =P It's hard to see from the angle, but I was trying to do a variety of push ups.

I ended up doing the following numbers:
-40 standard
-10 wide arms
-10 military
-5 diamond push ups (the ugliest...hehe)

I even wanted to do the clapping push ups, but I got too tired at the end.

I'll consider this as a progress video since I've never tried to really max out and record myself. Thanks for watching! I'll do better next time! =)

  • Good job HFB! Yeah 100 in a row has to go to be SUPER tough. Next time I suggest timing yourself and seeing how long it takes you to do 100 (and you can take all the breaks you want). And then over time, try to whittle your time down ...

  • great effort. good form. most people completing a 100 seem to do it with very poor form. bouncing or half depth.

  • Doesn't even matter if you did 65 instead of 100, you had perfect form from start to finish, you do pushups better than some men, I commend you on your doings, only thing is try not to put your knees down when you rest, instead bring your butt all the way up

  • You should do a flexing video

  • You are capable of doing 100 pushups right now! All you have to do is slow them down. I am 65 years old. When I start out as fast as you did, I run out of steam at around 25 pushups and slow down till I get to 35 and stop. If I start out with a 4 second rest at the top of each pushup, I can achieve 100. Go ahead and try it.
