Chinese Hypocrisy

The recent decision by trade and economic officials in Beijing to adopt buy China policies for government procurements caused a stir in the U.S. The free trade lobby was led by China, and played an instrumental part in turning the buy American provisions into nothing more than loophole-ridden shells of legislation. After railing against U.S. policies that it perceived to be protectionist, the Chinese government enacted the exact some policies in its own domestic market.

I think that Ron Kirk has done the right thing. It would be a good idea to end our membership with the WTO. Yes we're leveraged over there but China not only needs our markets but they want our markets as well.

The citizens of this country, around 63% or more, and even state governments now are speaking out against so-called "free trade" and yet the Federal government is still pushing the idea, thanks mostly to corporate money. We need to make a difference by making our voices heard before it is too late.

I don't follow your logic - it is the most convoluted piece of lie I have ever come across. It is like when you lose a fight by instigating it and balme your opponent for starting it.

If you are really concerned about America - please ask your government to stay away from meddling with internal affairs of other countries.

The US was the one that kept shoving NAFTA down every ones throat, just cuz the Chinese beat ya at your own game doesn't mean a economical war might happen, it just means the US has lost most of the economical leverage it use to enjoy. About time, look at the track record in Latin America most countries which have accepted a strait from Washington NAFTA are in a horrible economical position, and have seen how the few rich have gotten richer at the expense and work of others.
