During one of the commercial breaks - in the middle of the July 4th, 2007 Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular on the Esplanade, the Pops entertained the live audience of nearly 400,000 with a cover of the Kingston Trio's - "Charlie On The MTA" - an old Boston folk song about the T. Pops conductor, Keith Lockhart leaves the orchestra at one point to do a quick jig with the host for the national television audience, Craig Ferguson. While dancing, Lockhart drops his wireless mic, and has to scramble to pick it up in the rain.
