jay-z is actually part owner of the new jersey nets. one of the reason why people are saying that lebron james will sign with the new jersey nets is because lebron and jay-z are close friends and everybody knows jay-z got some loose change (as in enough to give lebron the biggest contract in the league) to lure him there and treat him like royalty.
