David H. Wilkins became the 21st United States Ambassador to Canada on June 29, 2005, under appointment of President George W. Bush. Upon leaving office in 2009, Wilkins had earned the reputation as one of the most respected and beloved diplomats in recent memory. Wilkins offers personal accounts of his relationships with the former president, members of cabinet, and key Canadian political figures, and goes behind the scenes to reveal the state of the U.S.-Canada relationship during the three-and-half years he served the United States in Canada.
