Joel meets the Willowz

Formed in 2002, the Willowz were discovered by film director Michel Gondry (Science of Sleep, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Be Kind Rewind) and were catapulted to international attention by having a few of their songs featured in those films. Michel Gondry has directed the Willowz' music video for their well known song "I Wonder" from the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind's Grammy nominated soundtrack.
In 2005, the Willowz released the album Talking in Circles, which was named by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the top 50 albums of 2005. It got an A- from Spin Magazine.
I sat down with the Willowz on May 31, 2009 in New Haven, CT for an interview, and this is what happened.
