Als der letzte Veteran aus dem ersten (!!!) Weltkrieg starb, hat die Britische Regierung die Deutsche daran erinnern müssen, wie es denn wäre, dem Verstorbenen ein bisschen Ehre zukommen zu lassen. Sehr traurig.

I do not understand very much German, but I enjoyed watching Heir Werner visiting pages of his past and reflecting upon his commrades before his life came full circle. All veterans are great solders past and present. Heir Werner was only answering a call to duty and protecting his country. Hopefully one day there will be no more wars.....Rest in peace soldier.........

Es ist eine Schande ,dass so ein toller Mann wie er stirbt. Ich habe keine Lust mehr auf amerikanische Heldengeschichten die auf NTV, N24 oder was weiß ich kommen. Die deutschen Soldaten haben meiner Meinung nach am meisten Arbeit geleistet im Krieg.

It's good, that those soldiers are not forgotten. No matter which country, no matter if friend or enemy - they should be honoured.

A family man. He did a good job raising loving caring family by his side to the end of his life and also managed to keep in touch with his comrades. Remarkable! Good job!
