What a voice. Best in country,,,,, now and then. He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. wonder what they are waiting for? Thank you, Gene, for your wonderful gifts to us.

I am in my fifty's and been a fan of Country all my life, especially this style. But somehow I have never heard Gene Watson's music until today on Sirius Radio... Now I am torn wether to be sad that I missed it for all these years or happy that found it now and it's all new to me :) Either way what a wonderful artist and soulful voice...

@domino3841 right on domino. In our youth in the early '70s, my friends and I used to go to a small country store/bar at night in La Ward, near Lavaca City. We'd sneak beers and listen to great country on the juke box, where I first heard this song. I still fish Gorda time to time.
