  • @BuickDoc

Hey it does look like a replica if only they would continue making them today man I bet everyone would be very flattered to have an interest in buying one again.

  • @adape0884frank It was, essentially, a Mustang with a different sheet metal treatment. Most of the chassis parts interchange, despite different part numbers. Few of the body parts interchange. I owned a new 1967 Cougar, back in the day...

  • @kcl5160 ya ok. lets see a trans am take a cougar eleminator...

  • @DecaturCentaur what

  • @DecaturCentaur the trans am did not come out until 69, and it destroyed the cougar.

  • @Annihilator1111 there was not a firebird built in 1967.

  • the 1967-1970 Mercury Cougar was assembled in

    United States: Dearborn, Michigan

  • Oh, yeah...the '68 was even better!

  • Cougar was way above the other '67 pony cars.....check out the Consumer Reports tests from back in '67..they report that they have never seen such a difference between the top rated car, the cougar, and the lowest rated, the camaro/firebird. They also said that the cougar was the only one that could be called a 'sports car' by any measure, and that the interior(seats, specifically), rated second only to the Corvettes'. They also noted that the mustang & barracuda were well matched.
