Dieter, Thank you. Id like to say im sickened by the arrogance of scientific thought. Empirical knowledge is very limited; for instance excluding mind and spirit medical science often fails to cure True medicine men practicing theurgy do not. physics thinks its literally the science of everything but cant explain the questions philosophy was asking thousands of years ago and instead refers to philosophy as dead. The relevance = ideological adherence to brotherhood.

@madleo777 - Oh, I'm certain his beliefs are true for him. That doesn't mean they actually are. If I believed that the Greek god Zeus is the cause of thunder and lightning, does that make it so? That's all I'm saying.

@ThoughtFu - You look for truth on your own terms. Just as IITM looks for his on his own terms. Who are you to judge? Who are you to negate the possibility of his beliefs being true to him? And who gave you the last word? I'll tell you. No one. Your beliefs are not everyone's. Prove they don't exist.
You use "truth" to shield yourself and to be argumentative so someone can acknowledge you... it's all a lie. Remember that, manage your anger, fix yourself, and move on with your life in peace.
This is silly. Seeing the shape of a human in a cloud formation is no more significant than seeing Jesus in a piece of burnt toast. Having an imagination is a good thing, but ONLY if it's balanced with reason. Imagination that is left unchecked leads to delusional thinking. Believing that this cloud formation has some kind of spiritual significance is exactly that - Delusional. If that cloud formation starts popping up all over the place, then there might be something to what you're saying.

@Indianinthemachine Look, it's clear that you have a big imagination. The imagination can come up with all kinds of stories and ideas to explain our environment. Every mythology that the human race has ever believed in throughout history was a way of explaining our reality through stories of the supernatural. When a natural explanation is all that's necessary, why would you choose the supernatural explanation over the natural? Which one seems more real? The natural or the supernatural?

@ThoughtFu Whatever is the truth is the best explanation.

@Indianinthemachine That doesn't answer my question, but fine. What makes you think that your perspective is the truth? On what grounds are you able to make that claim?
