HOW TO: INSTALL DEB FILES VIA AUTOINSTALL AND IFILE ON YOUR IPHONE AND IPOD TOUCH!

Hey guys, this video will show you how to install deb files by using iFile and through the Autoinstall method. This is another alternative way to the AutoInstall method and the Mobile Terminal method.

iFile Method:

1) If you don't have iFile already, you are going to have to open up cydia and add either http://repo.beyouriphone.com
http://sinfuliphonerepo.com to your cydia sources list.

2) Once you have added the source, click on it and scroll down and install iFile

3) Next SSH into your device and copy your deb file(s) to /private/var/root

4) Once you have copied your deb files into the /private/var/root folder, open up iFile and navigate to that directory

5) Once you are in /private/var/root in iFile, you will see your deb files listed. Click on the file, and then click on installer.

6) After it has installed, respring and enjoy!


AutoInstall Method:

1) You are going to need to SSH into your device (I use WinSCP)


2) Click on the media folder and create a new folder called Cydia and inside that create another called AutoInstall. /var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall

3) drag the files over into the AutoInstall folder

4) Once you you have done that, reboot your device and then respring. The reboot then respring is key. It will not work if you do not reboot then respring. This way is a lot easier than going into terminal and running it that way.

l tried method iFile method ended up with this:

Erros were encountered while processing:

/var/root/appsync40plus-1.1-5.­deb

Finished with Result Code: 256

l run iOS 4.3.3 on iPhone 4.
