United are shit, flew business class with them from LHR to Dulles last year and the service was apalling!
Just aswell i never paid full price! hmm.............That's probably why i got it cheap!
Awful food and they never had enough red wine!!!!
The only good thing was the fact it was a Boeing 777!

You probably had landing traffic behind you in that case you would have had to make an expedited landing roll and exit the runway quicker than normal...
-
@ArticMuse You are right!

Runway 22R at ORD is a relatively short runway, it is usually used in conjunction with landings on 27L/R... 22R intersects 27R (now would be 27L) towards the end... when LAHSO (Land and hold short) operations are in effect, Aircraft landing 22R are told to hold short of 27R which shortens the distance available for landing, thus creates the need for strong braking when landing on that runway.

Thurst reverse helped slow it down
I love loud/shaky landings! But they seem to put the aircraft under alot of unnecessary stress.

I remember landing on 22R in ORD on a 757 last year on United, and our pilot really stood on the brakes!
