Melodic Guitar Solo ?

Hi !
I mess around on the Electric guitar sometimes. The acoustic still rules!!

Anyway this is what i did today so I thought I would post it.

Solo in C Major trying to keep it melodic. Targeting chord tones as much as possible also the 9th degree .

The guitar tone is a custom patch i created using Amplitube 2.

Logic Pro was the recording software used.

Lots more acoustic guitar next just waiting for my new guitar to come .

so im looking at logic studio but i have a question. Do i just plug my guitar straight into the computer and record? Without using my amp and a mic and such?

Hi

You can do both. For the example above I used a third party plugin called Amplitube 2 for the guitar sound.

But you can also mic your guitar as normal and record into logic. Amplitube 2 is great when you want something quick but micing is always going to be better.

to hear the difference search for ibanezrules "I'm coming home". This was recorded into my Logic setup using a mesa boogie and two mics.

Your idea of "..messing around on the Electric guitar.." is probably well beyond what most amateur players even get near. The number of times I've watched your 'B minor blues' post is uncountable by now. When can we hope for some new uploads?

Thanks for another great comment. I have they love hate relationship with the electric guitar, as much as I love the sound I get incredibly frustrated with it. I do try to keep things as a melodic as possible with electric guitar and at times I really have to rain myself in, as I tend to shred a lot.

I am working on three new acoustic guitar pieces at the moment. I just need to polish them all a little bit more before I post them.
