Chris Thile and Edgar Meyer

In the middle of a song they were playing, Chris suddenly broke out into Nickelcreek's "The Smoothie Song." It was incredible. Sorry that the filming sucks and I take I think two pictures during the filming....

Because if you yell and cheer you can't hear their genious. Give them a cheer afterwords. I can't stand when people yell in the middle of the song. If you really appreciate them then you will listen intently to every note they produce.

Actually what you're probably reacting to is the fact that Meyer lowers his bridge significantly in order to have more agility in the left hand fingering (strings are closer to the fingerboard and take less time/pressure to place a note). As a result, the tone production suffers. It's a tradeoff to be able to play the virtuosic material he does.
