George's widow Olivia is a Latina (his in-laws called him "Jorge"), and George was quite knowledgeable about Latin music (He and a L.A. Times journalist compared notes on Jorge Negrete in a Times article). Ringo wrote and recorded a song called "Las Brisas" on his 1976 LP Rotogravure which utilized a mariachi band. So why not a Latin Beatles cover? Paul should be proud that his song is universally loved by people of all backgrounds...
