  • so what resolution do you use?

  • 1024*768

  • you will get better fps if you turn down the auto terrain generator i.e the trees and shit. I have same setup as you and get better frame rate

  • yes but i like the best quality posible

  • fuck this

  • Actually, FSX on a quad core period will yield less performance than a Core 2 Duo, simply because FSX is single threaded.

    Intel or AMD.

  • Well, ok. But my main point is that AMD has "less" to offer becouse it's cheaper. i7 for instance supports heavy boosting in multi-threaded games and applications. AMD, is only focusing on gaming, but even there it performs nothing close to a intel chip becouse intel chips clock higher.

But, if you're on a very short budget you should buy a AMD, until you can afford an i7 or i9..

  • Ok well i really dont feel like debting this anymore so im gonna leave you with this. I support BOTH Intel and AMD OK. They are both great CPU's that have alot to offer, i just choose AMD over intel.Thats all i have to say.

  • That statement is a lie. Intel performs over 50% better in most cases compared to AMD. AMD fails with Heat becouse they lack E0 steppings which intel have. E0 steppings can go all the way and beyonf 5Ghz with a water cooler.. I run 4.22 Ghz on air, i never go beyond 65c after 12 hours 100% stress test, heck i could go to 4.50ghz np.

The voltages is also a important factor. As AMD chips can't handle high volts, they wont gain any significant performance increase.

  • Times is only hard for people with below average work.. I buy new hardware every month. Heck, i have a E8500 in a corner, dusting down. Also, i belive i have some AMD chips around lmao..

  • Intel may be the consider the BEST cpu, BUT AMD brings alot to the table and yes AMD is cheaper but like i said it brings alot to the table. And times are hard man some people can get the high intel CPUs so they get AMD and some find it better then intel.

  • Umm no thanks i dont do drugs, and Yes intel is good but better not so much. I have nothing against Intel my friend. Matter fact i have and intel setup as of now, intel q9650 2x 9800 GTX+, OCZ ram 8gb, GIGABYTE EP45-UD3P MOTHERBOARD (which was a combo with the cpu) etc. And i tested the INTEL vs AMD Quad core. Both CPU's where OC to 4.1 (water cooling) ran many different kinds of test and found that AMD did better overall.

  • Intel's E0 stepping clocks higher than AMD anytime anywhere. That's a fact.

  • Are you high? Intel is better with everything compared to AMD. AMD is a cheaper solution for those with a budget.

Q9650 on 4.50 Ghz air is somthing you wont every achieve with any AMDx4 quad core.. i5, i7 and soon i9.. Bye bye AMD, rest in piece Erhem "peace"..
