Hi, Davey. I'm with Bob Taylor right now at NAMM in Anaheim, California. Bob sends his love. Those aren't 'dents' in the frets. They are grooves worn in the frets by the strings. Those grooves are so deep I think you should replace all of the frets and level and crown them. Then polish.

The taylor obsessed folks out there got to be hating this guys vids. He rips taylors a new one all the time. He sounds to be a repair luthier and seems to be getting more taylors than anything else for problems. Maybe there is somthing to it. Just buy a martin and all will be well. Cheers!

Lets wind up the Taylor-phobes. The reason it had so many humidifiers in it Dave is because they have an ongoing humidity issue and they know it. There is no other Maker out there that devotes so much to humidity, its a regular feature in their magazine and tech sheets. You would think they could have remedied the problem by now. And before everyone goes anal again yes I know all guitars have humidity issues.

@netterstyl Of COURSE an "Early" anything is going to sound more mature and balanced. Taylor hasn't been around that long. There are a ton of Martin and Gibson junkers too - but they normally wind up under somebody's bed, or in the dumpster. The best guitars survive, and sound better with time as they're played. You can't compare a brand-new anything with a 40 yr old instrument.
