CEF Individual Award Winner 2010 - John Dolan

This year's Outstanding Individual Award went to John Dolan, founder of the Bantry Community Supported Agriculture scheme. John has been a selfless advocate of the need for Ireland to re-establish some kind of food security for itself. He founded the Bantry CSA scheme in 2009 and since then has given numerous talks to communities around Cork interested in similar projects. CSA is a direct contract between communities and local farmers to grow food crops - oats, potatoes, root vegetables etc - and is of direct benefit to both producer and consumer.
