"Green Grass" Linda Roger's Dancers

From The Rick Shaw Show in the mid-sixties in Miami, Linda's dance troupe were the first aerobic TV dancers on TV. This routine was taped on location in Miami Beach. Back then, TV engineers had to rent a truck with a hydraulic lift, load a 2" tape machine and a bulky studio camera with a sticky zoom. There were no ways to edit the takes, so they were shot in one take. We were 15 years ahead of MTV. Enjoy.

@gablesblonde it seems so funny n innocent in the sixties...i guess this video is from 1966 cause of the song was released that year n the girls hairstyle...now everything is so different..for worst..but this video put me a smile in my face..

this is just a video.. the "Innocence " of the " america " of the 50's and 60's didnt exist...

during this time.. severe problems in civil rights, race relations, raising crime, poor housing,

slums in cities that needed to be cleared out., drug and drinking problems .

People then and before were "doing it" but it was discreet.

Seeing the name Sherry triggered a memory. There was another girl I went to Jr. High school with along with Patty Benson and Nilda Rice, I think was part of the Rick Shaw show dance troop. Her name was, (pardon spelling) Sharon Trobliger? Ring a bell?
